OASIS During the school year, this group meets Sundays in the FLC Family Life Center. The Game Room opens if you want to come early and hangout with your friends.

What we do at Oasis

Wild and wacky games are our pride and joy see how those connect with music, videos and the day’s lesson. The lessons are relevant issues you are facing right now. You may be surprised to realize you are not alone and many others face some of the same struggles you face.

Games

The games are similar to fear factor. Oasis favorites are wild relay races, dodge ball, football, kickball and basketball with wacky twists.

Outreach Night

The first Sunday of every other month is outreach night. These events reach out to your friends and the community. The evening is even more fun than usual—if that’s possible!

Service Projects

One night a month Oasis goes out into the community for a service project. Times for the service projects depend on what the project is. BreakOut, the senior high and college students go along on these excursions. To go on a service project, participants must have a parent or guardian sign a permission slip for each event. 6th graders must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Grove City United Methodist Church employs safe sanctuaries risk management program

All ministries involving caring for others, whether adult or children, require every volunteer to fill out an application, undergo a BCI {fingerprint} background check, attend mandatory Emergency Procedures Training and have three references checked. These are completed in a confidential manner. We employ risk management policies with approved caregivers present.
